About PTO
What do we do at PTO?
We want to involve you in our children's education. The goal is not to simply fundraise but to support University Academy Charter School and our teachers by providing our students with the best learning environment possible. Below is an outline of the many functions of PTO to ensure that we meet this goal.
Fundraising: Facilitation of all programs to raise money for University Acadmey Charter School PTO such as book fair, 5k/10k Run, Father/Daugther dance, Mother/Son Pinic, fall festival, and much more. Last year, the PTO purchased a piece of playground equipment, magazines and materials from Scholastic News, and more, all thanks to the generosity of donors to the PTO.
Membership: Actively promote PTO membership early in the school year.
Health & Sustainability: Coordinate teams of volunteers to improve and promote health, safety and wellness events and green initiatives.
Parent Involvement: Facilitate programs to build social relationships among our families and teachers by coordinating room parents, family events, teacher appreciation, and more.
